The SAWS envisions MUST students who can successfully maintain a wholesome balance between academic excellence and co-curricular / extra-curricular proficiency.
The SAWS shall address the needs of students for guidance and counseling; exposure to and training in social responsibility, leadership, self-discipline and teamwork; adequate medical and dental services; and sports and physical education.
Through the various duly-accredited, co-curricular and extra-curricular student organizations, the SAWS endeavors to enliven the campus learning atmosphere for the students to sharpen their capacity and capability for effective leadership and teamwork which they would need when they graduate from MUST and eventually embark on their respective professional careers.
Through the Guidance Services unit, the SAWS provides guidance and counseling services to the students so that they would become young citizens who are emotionally, mentally, and psychologically stable.
Through the Student Affairs & Welfare Office (SAWO) unit, the SAWS shall help students become young citizens who are self-disciplined and law-abiding, with solid integrity, social awareness and responsibility.
Through the Sports Education (SE) unit, the SAWS seeks to inculcate in the students the value of wholesome physical development through active participation in sports with the end in view of striking a balance between intellectual and physical well-being.
Through its Medical and Dental Services units, the SAWS sees to it that students who need medical/dental attention are adequately attended to so that their academic performance would not be adversely affected.
